SRC/NUGS ELECTIONS.
We are in the second semester of the 2009/2010 Academic year,it is therefore a traditional requirement that the current batch of SRC/NUGS executives hand over power to fresh hands.
The following are the positions being contested:
Local SRC PresidentSRC Vice President
General Secretary
Financial Secretary
Organizing Secretary
SRC Public Relations Officer
Local NUGS President
General Secretary
NUGS Treasurer
Women Commissioner
Sports Commissioner.
After taking you through the various positions available for grabs let me pipette a little information from the EC's Archives;

2.Hotor Richard Sena(Hall Gen. Secretary)
3.Sadat Alhassan(Hall member)
4.Nat Asterisk Odum(Hall Sports Commissioner) are all in the race for the positions listed above?Which of the positions? I won't tell you ,find out for yourself or better still wait till after vetting to hear from Afari Vuu Gyan and Co.
2 STUDENTS CRUSHED OUT OF THE RACE
After 31 March's SRC/NUGS vetting process Mr.Aaron Osei Agyemang and Miss Ataawomba Nelly both of Level 100 and 200 respectively were shown the exit from the race to contest for their various positions,which were Local SRC President and Women Commissioner.The EC cited constitutional provisions as the reasons behind its decision to drop the 2 students from contesting in the elections.Meanwhile,Mr.Aaron Osei Agyemang has threatened to seek redress from a court of competent jurisdiction.Without any future occurances the voting date remains Saturday the 10th of April 2010.Lets wait and see what happens next.

JUST LIKE HE SAID
Aaron Osei Agyemang, the gentleman who was dropped from the polls after vetting because of not being a qualified candidate per the rules for the contest of FFRT elections has dragged the EC and JC to court.Mr Agyemang did this by seeking an injunction to prevent the EC from holding the SRC Presidential Polls until further notice or otherwise.With this current situation the Students Representative Council will be run by a lady Vice President till the litigation is resolved.
